Articles

map of area covered by treaty 8With the passing of the centenary of the signing of Treaty 8 in 1999, there has been a renewal of interest in the issues that surround the Treaty process in Canada.  In this section we would like to share with you some selected articles from Legacy Magazine and Lobstick: An Interdisciplinary Journal that reflect upon some of these issues and even challenge some of the more  traditional views of Treaty 8 and its meaning for First Nations people and all Canadians.

While we have provided the entire text of several articles, in most cases we have provided only the abstracts.  If you wish to obtain a copy of the full article please visit the Lobstick website for details.
