Athabasca Plain (ath + a + bas + ka)

If you were looking at a map of Alberta this place would be in the top, right hand corner of the map. There are many different things to look at in this area. Around Lake Athabasca are lots of sandy beaches, huge funny looking piles of gravel and sand called “kames”, big holes in the ground made by glaciers called “kettles”, and steep rocky peaks called “crags”.
