Black Throated Green Warbler (Warb + ler)

This bird with the funny name loves to travel. You can find this bird in forests across Canada and the northeastern United States in the summer. In the winter the Warbler likes to take off to warmer places like Mexico and Central America. Smart bird! The Warbler likes bugs and has been known to eat beetles, wasps, ants, moths, flies, spiders, and mites. The Alberta Wildlife Division has put the Warbler on the “Blue List”. This means that there are not very many Warblers left and we should protect them.
