Bowden, Settlement

Bowden is located about 20 minutes south of Red Deer along Highway #2. The first homesteaders to the Bowden area arrived between 1875 and 1880. These people were ranchers and farmers. In 1891 the railroad came to Bowden, bringing many more people to the area.
