British Commonwealth Air Training Plan

This was an Airforce training program for World War II. The British did not have enough room in their country to train an airforce this big, so they had to look for another country to help them. Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King decided to help the British. Training schools for the airforce were built all over Canada, and many men and women from different countries trained to go to war. The Prime Minister of Britain, Winston Churchill, thought the Plan was very helpful in the war.
