Columbia Spotted Frog

This frog loves the water. What frog doesn't? It can be found near slow moving streams, rivers, marshes, springs, pools, and around the shore of lakes. In Alberta, Spotted Frogs like to lay their eggs around the edges of ponds and rivers. They like to eat worms, insects, spiders, and snails. In 1991 the Spotted Frog was put on Alberta's list of creatures that are "at risk" of disappearing. So if you happen to see one, be nice to it!
