Ferruginous Hawk fur + roo + gen + us

The Ferruginous Hawk is one of three "soaring hawks" that live in Alberta's grassy areas. The Alberta Wildlife organization has placed this animal on the list of endangered species. This means the Ferruginous Hawk is in danger of dying out in Alberta.

It likes to live on the open prairie, making nests around farms or other open places. The Ferruginous Hawk likes to eat rabbits, hares, ground squirrels, and gophers.
