Grand Trunk Railway

This was a railway line that went from Manitoba all the way to British Columbia. It was built between 1906 and 1914 to help serve western Canada. The Grand Trunk Railway was in Competition with the Canadian Pacific Railway and the Canadian Northern Railway. In 1919 the federal government bought the Grand Trunk Railways and made them a part of the new Canadian National Railway.
