Initial Training School

A British Commonwealth Air Training Plan school that decided which aircrew job would be best suited to each recruit. The school also provided an introduction to Royal Canadian Air Force life.

Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Station Edmonton was home to three of the training schools opened in the province under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP). One of which was the No. 4 Initial Training School (ITS), go to the University of Alberta, located at 112 St. and 83 Ave. and find Pembina Hall, one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings on campus.
