Link, Ted

Dr. Ted Link was a geologist from the United States. Geologists are scientists that study the earth and the way it was made. They are able to suggest the best places to look for oil and gas. This is why Ted Link became famous in Alberta. He worked for a company called Imperial Oil and helped them decide to look for oil around Leduc, Alberta. In 1947 the Imperial Oil Company discovered a lot of oil at Leduc, thanks to Ted Link’s studies. Ted Link won a lot of awards for his work as a geologist before his death in 1980.
