Prairie Rattlesnake

Of the eight different types of Western Rattlesnakes in North America, the Prairie Rattlesnake is the only one found in Alberta. In Alberta, the Prairie Rattlesnake is found in areas with little rain and high summer temperatures. Prairie Rattlesnakes like to be near river valleys for some reason. Records have shown that Prairie Rattlesnake numbers decrease the further you get from a river.
