Reverend Leonard Gaetz gates

Reverend Leonard Gaetz was born in Nova Scotia. He worked as a minister in Ontario. In 1883, the Gaetz family moved from Ontario to Calgary and then Leonard Gaetz took his three sons to live in Red Deer. In 1884, what is now downtown Red Deer was being farmed by the Reverend Leonard Gaetz. The main road through Red Deer is named Gaetz Avenue in honour of the Reverend L. Gaetz.
