Chinese, Cultural Life

You may have heard about Chinese New Year, the Dragon Boat Festival, and traditional wedding ceremonies. These are just a few of the celebrations in which many Chinese people (as well as those of non-Asian background) participate. Alberta's Chinese community is dedicated to preserving and sharing their rich heritage for all fellow Albertans and Canadians to enjoy. Perhaps the areas where the influence and aspects of Chinese culture is most evident today are in the Chinatowns that exist in some of the larger towns and cities in the province. Here we present a profile of Edmonton's Chinatown. In fact, some suggest that Edmonton has many Chinatowns.
