Trails: A large province such as Alberta is riddled with trails, historic trails. These trails have become familiar to us as the highway routes we take to travel the province. In the days before highways and rail lines, people travelled on foot or by horse and cart along trails carved-out of the wilderness. We have walking and biking trails in the city now but they are not used for quite the same purpose.
