A game of pool

The second story of the Erdman house in Barons was a popular "hangout" for pool players.
L to R - Wally Koot, Bob Salman (Gus's nephew from Crimea, a relative of Leongrad Salman's) Avy Johnson (Barons resident) and Otto Kingsep. I would expect this was taken sometime in the 1930s. This is the 2nd floor balcony at Gus's house. The pool room is to the right of the photo. Gus put in the pool room to keep his 4 sons home, after the Snooker Hall was established in Barons. Mom said it didn't work - the men played pool and not Mom's brothers.
