Mercury thermometer is mounted in wood frame. Piece of string is tied to handle.

a- Front section is hinged for adjustment and has chip at the division. b- Heel section fits into mid section. c- Mid section fits into and heel sections and has handle extension.

Woven off the face style straw hat has has turned up brim at back. A fiine mesh netting and velvet flower-like ornament are attached. Netting has hole.
