Buchanan Peak

Senator William A. Buchanan had a very direct interest in the development of Waterton Lakes National Park and had a summer residence in the park area for several years. It was for his service and public effort for the park that this mountain peak was named after him. Its official approval date was 8 June 1971. (see Buchanan Ridge)

Approximately 50 km south of Pincher Creek.
