Airmail

 

An airmail envelope. Stamp on the envelope is a 7 cent Canadian stamp, also stamped on the envelope is a box saying "CPO Air Mail - First Official Airmail - Jetliner - Toronto to New York" The envelope is marked Personal and is addressed to Mr. G. W. G. McConachie, President, Canadian Pacific air Lines Ltd., Vancouver, B.C.. In the top left hand corner it says "If not called for in five days please return to A. V. Roe Canada Ltd, Box 430, Terminal A Toronto." There are two cancellation stamps on this envelope one on the front says "Toronto Ontario Canada April 18, 7am 1950" and the one on the back says "New York, N.Y. April 18 4:30pm 1950"
