Passing the Test

Vera describes the testing process she had to go through to get the license. It did not involved a flight with an examiner, or even much observation from the ground. Instead she had to go on a flight with a mechanical barograph that recorded, in a series of arcs, the planes reactions as she went through a series of prescribed moves. She did pass, but her weakness, as demonstrated by the barograph, was making steep curves.
