Badge

Badge
A gold wire RCAF badge on a piece of material. This badge would have been worn on the pocket of a blazer that was worn for the Royal Canadian Air Force Association meetings and events. The square of material, which is a very dark blue, measures 3 1/2 inches by 4 inches.

Pin, Lapel

Pin, Lapel
A lapel pin that is a General Service Pin. On the back of the pin it states the following: 263008 Penalty for Misuse $500.00 Dollars or 6 Months Imprisonment. The pin measures 7/8 of an inch high and 9/16 inches wide. This pin has a King's crown with red enamel and below the crown is a shape of a shield coloured silver with three red maple leafs joined at the stem and under the shield it says General Service in silver on a blue enamel background. The pin was given to members of the Naval, Military or Air Forces of Canada who have declared their willingness, or who have engaged, to serve in any of the said forces on active service beyond Canada and Overseas, during the present war, and who have been honourably ceased to serve on active service: 1- After not less than three months of continuous paid service. 2 - By reason of physical disability.

A studio picture of Hazel (Bowes) Augustine in her RCAF WD dress uniform. Picture appears to have been taken of Mrs. Augustine during the war. This is a contact print on 8 by 10 inch laminated paper.

A black and white photo of the civilian women who looked and ran the canteen at #2 A.O.S. Edmonton. The size of the print is 7 inches wide by 5 inches high. The names of the women are unknown. The picture would have been taken sometime during the Second World War when #2 A.O.S. Edmonton was open. Note the prices of the food.

A black and white photo of two RCAF LAW's packing a parachute at #7 A.O.S. Portage la Prairie. One of the RCAF LAW's name was Ella Lesell McIntyre, the name of the second women is unknown. The print measures 7 inches wide by 5 inches high.

A RCAF pilot's wings with the King's crown. Date of issue for the wings are unknown.

Collar Dog

Collar Dog
A Canadian Armed Forces Air Command collar dog. This collar dog would have been worn on the right hand side of the jacket with the eagle facing out. The collar dog measures 1 inch wide by 1 inch high. The collar dog has the Air Force crest with the Queen's crown which is now the symbol or crest of the Canadian Armed Forces Air Command. This collar dog was used in the 1970's and 1980's.

A framed black and white photograph of three Wardair Otter aircraft flying over Yellowknife in the winter of the late 1950's or early 1960's. The frame is a wooden frame measuring 24 3/4 inches wide by 19 1/2 inches high.
