Claim.—1. In a device of the character described, a partial metallic band, a screw passing through a metallic plate, and having a face plate adapted to co-act so as to exert pressure upon a member encircled between the metallic band and the face plate, arms secured to and extending from the metallic band, and a spring- metal clip secured to the ends of the said arms by a hinged joint.

2. In a device of the character described a partial metallic band carrying an insulating and gripping medium, a screw passing- through a metallic plate and having a face plate carrying an insulating medium adapted to co-act so as to exert pressure upon a member encircled between the metallic band and the face plate, projecting arms from the said band, and a substantially circular spring clip carrying an internal insulating and gripping medium connected to ends of the said arms by a hinged joint.
