Perry Kotkas

Perry Kotkas lives in Calgary. He was managing director of the committee for the Barons Homesteading and Heritage Centennial in the summer of 2004. The Estonian heritage of many who called the village “home” was celebrated at the Centennial. Estonian dancers from Vancouver performed on Saturday afternoon. A small choir consisting of people with Estonian heritage sang on three occasions. Displays and activities filled the whole weekend. The event was a huge undertaking and was greatly appreciated by the 500 people who came from near and far to share memories.
