Alumni Wall of Recognition

Unveiled on March 22, 1994, the Alumni Wall of Recognition is a joint project of the University of Alberta Alumni Association and the Students' Union. It was created as part of the 1993 renovations to the Students' Union Building. The Wall recognizes the important contributions that University of Alberta alumni have made to their professions and to society. In so doing, it serves as an inspiration to the University of Alberta students who will be the alumni of the future.

An attractive blending of wood, metal and glass and featuring a central fireplace, the Wall incorporates sixteen illuminated display places. Mounted in each of these spaces is a photograph accompanied by text highlighting the accomplishments of distinguished alumni of the University. Four new inductees are chosen each year, with outgoing displays circulated to Alumni House and other locations.
