Raffaele Albi describes some of the Christmas and Easter traditions as they were practiced in his home town of Grimaldi, province of Cosenza in the Calabrese region of Italy.

His father had left for North America before Raffaele was born, and died before he had a chance to see his son.  This was one of the reasons why Raffaele held a special place in his Grandmother's heart.
