Toronto mayoral candidate endorsed by anti-Pride pastor

The Toronto Star is reporting that Rob Ford has won the endorsement of fundamentalist pastor Wendell Brereton. Mr. Brereton has been openly critical of homosexuality and gay marriage, his website stating: “”My kind of Toronto doesn’t parade immorality and call it pride.”

Ford declared his approval of Mr. Brereton’s platform, but stopped short of voicing support for the pastor’s views on gay marriage, instead asserting that his campaign’s focus was on saving taxpayers money.
