The University of Winnipeg turns 40 and you’re invited to be part of UWinnipeg’s Homecoming & Reunion Weekend this Thursday to Sunday, September 13-16. An exciting schedule of events kicks off Thursday with President Lloyd Axworthy's State of the University address from 11:00 a.m. to Noon in Convocation Hall. Other highlights include Opening Reception Thursday evening in the Clearsight Event Tent, Special Convocation and Rededication of Convocation Hall on Friday, Charter Day Picnic and Great Winnipeg Social on Saturday, Presidents' Brunch on Sunday and much more! You won't want to miss the stimulating lectures presented throughout Homecoming as part of the year-long 40th Anniversary Distinguished Lecture Series, the Alumni Authors event on Saturday and Show + Tell: Notions of Home and Place by Alumni artists in Gallery 1C03. UWinnipeg History Professor and editor of Winnipeg Modern: 1945-1975 Serena Keshavjee and Centennial Hall Principal Designer (1969-72) Lewis Morse  of Moody, Moore, Duncan, Rattray, Peters, Searle & Christie Architects at the time, will offer a fascinating presentation on the art and architecture of UWinnipeg's Centennial Hall.
