Justin Trudeau at UWinnipeg:
Confronting Youth Apathy

The University of Winnipeg’s Global College presents a public lecture with Justin Trudeau on Youth and Civic Engagement.  Trudeau has taken on the challenge to educate and empower youth by confronting the widespread disconnect among young Canadians in the political process and awareness of today’s pressing issues.

Through his involvement with Katimavik—Canada’s leading national youth volunteer-service program—and public lectures, Trudeau is working to make Canadian youth aware of their potential power to make real change through community engagement and activism.

Trudeau's work exemplifies the life of engagement and involvement that he espouses to others. He is a volunteer with the Canadian Avalanche Foundation, Harvest Montreal, the Nature Conservancy of Canada, and the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. At this upcoming lecture at UWinnipeg, Trudeau will also speak to global citizenship and responsibility.
