Thank you to all visitors of William Harris' web site. Unfortunately Bill Harris passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at the age of 83. He had been battling cancer for a few years, but thankfully he had little to no suffering and remained active, creative, and able to enjoy life fully right through to the end. As you may know Bill was a long time professor of classics at Middlebury College. However he was truly a renaissance man who excelled in a great many things in addition to his area of teaching, including art, music, architecture, literature, and technology among others.

Bill truly enjoyed sharing with all of you, and he greatly appreciated the contact he had with so many of you from around the world, especially in his latter years. We invite you to continue using and enjoying his web site. Bill Harris' web site will be maintained on the Internet permanently as part of the digital archives of Middlebury College. Please visit again soon, and have a wonderful day! ☺
