A Masters student studying at the Melbourne School of Design, Tullia Jack, has undertaken an unusual and innovative study that investigates alternative laundering practises to make clothing more sustainable.
Her study involved 30 participants who wore the same pair of jeans, five days a week for three months, without washing them. The research sought to find out how this would impact upon how they were treated by others and the participant’s perception of their own cleanliness.
