Shoei Neotec is well worth the money for comfort,but I have Dumbo ears

I appreciate the replies. The Nolans look like a great helmet but also look like a gas mask! Lol. I really like the Scorpion Exo GT3000, the HJC Rpha Max, and the Shoei Neotec. The only reason I am considering the Shoei is because the shop I use has it on clearance for $489 vs the $650 normal. It's a great helmet, I just never considered it because I've never thought about a $660 helmet.

2016 I bought a Nolan (N44 I think), really nice helmet especially with the large front opening. I used it once or twice, but it was too narrow, I have a more rounded head. The next size up was to large. I ended up going to the HJC RPHA Max, even this model I had to swap the ear cushions for a nice fit. The HJC seems fine, I don't have anything else to compare it too as I've always had full face helmets before. I can't tell much difference in quietness in the Nolan, HJC or my previous full face helmet (can't remember name), but I ride with the screen up a lot anyway except in cold or rainy weather. I think the I liked the inner sunscreen latch better on the Nolan compared to the HJC. Ventilation on HJC seemed much better than previous full face helmet. The HJC has a strange location for the rear vent holes and aren't shielded, they are kind of at a 45 deg. angle. When your moving, you stay dry, but in a downpour sitting at a stoplight, I've felt water dripping in. Since I retired last year and don't drive to work anymore, I don't drive in the rain anymore, so that's not a big deal. If you drive in all weather rain or shine, that's something to consider with the HJC unless they've redesigned it in the last couple of years.
I wouldn't of bought the HJC at regular price, I got it online as a closeout and I think I paid around $300 or little less.

Another vote for the Nolan.

The only thing with the Nolan is it doesn't seem to be able to be opened up quickly. Just press a latch and lift like the others? Does that defeat a little bit of the idea behind modular?

Yeah I like to be able to open mine easily, but mine is not well rated for not coming open upon impact, so there is that.

I have a couple of these Speed and Strength 1700 I tried several different brands but I like these the best. They now offer a 1710 that I don't know anything about. You can still find the 1700 for pretty good prices .
