I run V&H Longshot HS pipes on my 2006 Roadstar (profile pic below) with the stock baffles cut in half.
Nice rumble, a little louder than they need to be, but not enough to piss off the neighbors.
At least not enough for them to say anything to me or give me the stinkeye when I pass by.
Most people who bother to react at all either smile or give me a thumbs-up.
At least I think it's their thumb.

Tuning is more important than any one set of pipes or baffles & what kind of results you expect are also a factor.
You can tune an engine to run well with almost any kind of pipes, but how much time & money it takes to 'get it right' is entirely up to you.
