Your right Spyder, I bought my house in 2001 for $125,000 but it's now valued at $180,000. Same cracker boxs over here on the west coast although houses are generally a little cheaper here than on the east coast. Spyder, I'm surprised your know of Matlacha! It's about a 30 minute bike ride for me and the wife and we will typically continue on to Pine Island. Then south on Stringfellow Rd to Woody's Waterside Grill in St. James City for a burger and a brew before heading back to Matlacha and to Bert's for reggae music and more brews over the water until we're sufficiently lubricated enough to ride the final leg back to Punta Gorda. We do that motorcycle ride at least once a month weather permitting. Gotten soaked a couple of times but it's always the late afternoon rainy season showers on the way home. Not a big deal when the outside temps are running in the 80's. We sometimes run the boat down from Charlotte Harbor after fishing the south side to Matlacha and dock at Bert's for lunch. Nice dock, nice people, good music, good food, great view. What more can you ask for? Spydr wrote:
