Well, that's the way it is now. People just lie and there's zero accountability for it. It seems that accountability isn't even expected anymore.

Well it was their Dyna plant too, and with that gone... If they have the room it usually pays for itself to consolidate into fewer plants for less duplication/overhead. Its all about working smarter especially with the downturn in M/C riders as a whole.

An overseas plant to sell HD overseas? another one of those no brainers. unless they start shipping those bikes made there back over here... That'd cause a riot

That's no different than Yamaha moving all worldwide production of 4x4 offroad vehicles to Kennesaw Georgia USA.
Same thing with their Sport Boats & Personal Watercraft, all built in the good old USA because almost all of them are sold here.
The only thing that comes from Japan for those vehicles is the drivetrain.
Even the ones sold in Japan are built in GA & shipped to Japan.

I know a couple of people that work there and I go every year for the open house. Sad to see it go, there are some very talented people who work there and if they can transfer to York and they want to I hope they get the chance. I look forward to going every year and walking through the plant and riding the current bikes, I wish I could afford one but that will be some time off.
