New HSR 42 installation questions 6 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Good day !!! Well, I have been told that I need to start a new thread on this so, here goes. I have a 04 Silverado 1700 that I have had ongoing issues w/ (refer to post " Final repair attempt or she is gone" Among others) that I have finally saved enough to install 42HSR from S&S on. I have a long vac hose on the lower portion of the carb that I do not know where it goes. There are also a number of ports on the carb that seem like they should have hoses connected to that I do not appear to have hoses for. If anyone has any help , I would greatly appreciate it. I would also like to know if the TPS mod is necessary. S&S says no but I would like to know what you guys think. Also, what have you been doing w/ the dangling idler adjuster ? It will not reach the stock location. Thank you.

The ones on the back plug them off. The only ones you need are the fuel line, the overflow (left side of carb pointing straight down and the real thin one on the bottom of the carb. That one is a vent as well.

So , is there anywhere in particular that they need to be run ? It was sent w/ a very long , small hose attached at the bottom left of the carb.

Run the hose down to under the bike. Also the bike will run without the tps but it controls timing so it will run more efficient with it. They didn't put them on there because they had extra's just laying around.
