I recently rebuild this Roadstar and put a 240 in the rear. During the test ride she handles better than before the modification.

Here is the total rebuilding with some pictures.

I choose for a different stay plate, mostly out of sight.No welding on the frame and a smaller disc.


I did it with the stock hub also, totally no problems with curves. But you have to take these curves short and low, so that you use the whole tire. If you, after mounting this kind of tire, keep your bike straight up most of the time, you get a flat surface. And if you in this situation want to make a sharp curve you can get some disturbance.
And on my one home build bike I put a 250 tire and that also rides better than the original. But this one has a whole different geometry.
