Installing Road Warrior heads on a Silverado 4 Months ago
I met someone who has a blown up 05 Roadie. He's about to chunk out a bunch of cash to make it bigger and faster and he asked me a question that I had wondered about as well. We both wondered if you could replace the Silverado heads with the dual carb heads off of the Road Warrior? Has anyone done this? He found a set of carbs for the Road Warrior on eBay and traced down that they have the whole top end. Bottom end has a hole in it from a crash. Our logic is that if you are going to build a high performance engine that two carbs are better than one.

One problem even if they did fit.

The Warrior runs two throttle bodies for fuel injection. No carbs in the mix.

As slow as these engines rev, (5500 tops for a 1700 with kit) a single carb is better for torque and an efficient cylinder fill anyway. You would need to find a set of 32mm carbs that are already canted at the right angle, then find boots that would connect them to our heads, then try to figure out jetting sets that would actually work. All that said, as Ron already mentioned, all Warriors are fuel injected, and a totally different system than the 08 and up Road Stars. It’s a different beast in a number of ways.

Exhaust ports are also different. There are other ways that are feasible to make the R* faster. Big Bore or just a set of HC pistons will do it.
I gotta ask, What is blown up on his 05??? That is an almost unheard of thing for a Roadstar.
