Hi,
I have a mutazu dmy trunk but IMHO it doesn't look right on the road*, so I was considering adding one of these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/222206037206. Note all the holes and cut outs. I was thinking of adding the accent and the rear lights and luggage rack and speaker pods to connect to it. I don't have a schematic for the tour pack wiring or know where to get a wiring harness as it looks like the harness plugs in to the rear lights. Has anyone done this? If so, can you provide some guidance?

The wiring will have to be your own homemade wiring harness. You can either tap into the wires behind the lic plate or under the seat there is a connector going into the rear fender by the battery. just meter out the wires to find the ones you are looking for and tap into them.

I don't know if this guy is still around but he made me an adapter with correct end to "y" into harness under seat. Can't find a pic right now.

You still have to make the rest of the harness to go into the bag lights. So all you are gaining is a plug?

I think I need a plug because look at the picture here. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1OPp8ks0OzQoUjjXs_dLLynNMsKSp0zEd
There are no wires coming out of that light bar. I believe under the right antennae is the plug slot (female end). I have no problem tapping into brake, turn signals at the wiring harness of the bike, I've already done that for the the bags I currently have (brake light and turn signals on saddle bags). If there were wires hanging off this light bar, I could just connect them. I can't seem to find a harley harness for this. Ideas? Thanks y'all! |

Sorry I misunderstood what you were looking for. I thought you were looking for a harness to tap into the bike.

I purchased the razor version of this tour pack as I didn't want to get into the same thing having to fill the prefabbed holes in the full version. I just purchased a cheap led light strip and tied it into the wiring behind the license plate. Works like a charm!
