You need to fill out your bike profile so people trying to help know what you have. As it is now we don't know if your bike is carburated or injected, both of which require two different courses of action. I know you said carb
when you mentioned your problem, but, believe it or not, some people don't know the difference. I'm not casting aspersions at your mechanical prowess, but there are folks of all levels on here. If it really is the carb (bike is a 2007 or earlier), you could try eliminating the fuel pump to help diagnose your problem. Then when you determine the issue(s) you can decide if you want to keep the fuel pump or get rid of it forever. Many have (myself included) deleted the fuel pump permanently, it's a cheap modification with some additional benefits as well.
