My AIS elbows broke off in the head when I attmpted to tap them out. does anyone know of a safe way to get the broken part out of the head? there is no way to grab on to them because the are broken without anything hanging out to be able to grab onto.

I haven't broken one yet (thank GOD) but others have drilled them out. I would try finding a bit that was just a little smaller than the hole in the motor and try to drill the plug walls as thin as possible so it can then be bent in and pulled out. Use a little axle grease on the bit to catch the shavings. Good luck and...

Start a new thread so this post don't get lost in an old thread. You will get responses from others that had the same issue.

somebody on here recently broke them off
they used a bolt that was the right size to thread into the pipe and grabbed the bolt head with vice grips or something and wiggled the pipes out of the head

A blind bushing puller might work if you can get a small enough head. Tapping it for a fine thread bolt and putting one in to make a holding point is a decent approach.

Several have had good luck using a drill bit, that will just catch the inside of whats left of the AIS fitting. The bit will catch, and spin the piece loose. It has a real thin wall, so you don't want to go aver board on the drill bit. It'll snag in the fitting, the same way a drill bit grabs when drilling thin stock.

If I want to just disable the system to see results.
will just looping the yellow and green hoses in diagram while leaving the blue attached achieve this?
Thank you,
Steve

If you disconnect the vacuum line from the valve, they won't open at all. No need to loop the supply lines.
