I agree get a longer bolt, but I haven't seen any responses that the parts list didn't work on any other bikes. Plus, I haven't found a 8mm x 1.5 anywhere online, all 8mm bolts are 1.25 and all 1.5 bolts are 10mm.

There's enough info in the following thread to help you get going on parts and how you can do it. I have a 2000 and this was pretty easy to install and it still works fine without any leaks after about 3 months. You're welcome to PM me if you have any questions..

Update, I resorted to doing the unthinkable, something out the box, unheard of...........I actually MEASURED the bolt I ordered and its 1" not 1.25.

That banjo bolt is definitely too short I would go with the 1.5 it's been so long since I done mine its not even on the bike anymore I went all electric oil pressure and temp

The 1.25 & 1.5 is the thread pitch, not the length.
