At one point Shamrock said he wasn't up to selling them, but I'm not so sure he's not dropping them into his inventory bikes he sells. Speculation on my part, but I know he's tested them well.

I think you are correct but he would have to confirm it. But I think that is what he is using in his bikes when needed.

You can't buy an adjustable needle without buying the whole kit. Now I learned a little trick from Mrshamrock where he modified a stock needle to the same taper and diameter as a Barons needle. The stock needle groove is the same as the 4th groove on a Barons needle. I made a couple of them and I think I only used 1 of them so I might have one if you would like to try it. It worked perfectly on the bike I used the other one on and I think Allen has modded quite a few of them. If you want me to look for it and send it to you just let me know.

Thanks for the needle Dave, I got it today, now I just have to wait for the air jet to come in and I can button it all back together and try it out.
thanks again

Sorry I'm late to the party. You guys were correct though there are quite a few Road Stars running around with modified stock needles that are Barons replica's. I can't tell the difference.

Re:hay carb masters 9 Months ago
I got my air jet in today. I was able to get the carb put back together and take it for a little spin before the rain.
Bike ran smooth all the way up to 85 where I backed down. It did feel like I might have lost a little bit of the bottom end power, but not much. I'm guessing that is from going from the hypercharger to the k&n filter. We'll see how it does when I get my pipes with baffles on it.
I didn't mess any with the PMS screw as I was trying to get in a quick ride before the rain. I don't know how many turns it is set at now, but I would guess that it is pretty close to where it needs to be.
Maybe now i'll pick back up some of my MPG. I have only checked one tank (no hard riding) and it got 33mpg. Seems like Misfit got 40-44 when I had her. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
I also pulled the AIS crap off while I was waiting for the carb parts to come in.
thanks guys for your help, especially you DaveJ for the needle.
