6 pot yzf750 caliper on ebay 3 Years, 11 Months ago
ran by this figured i would pass this along. this is the same caliper i ran for 2 seasons before i went 13" rotor. and if you want to run single disk this is what you want to run if you are sticking with standard size rotors.

caliper

I picked up the adapters for the front wheel from jd750 I'm going to get the 21 x 3.5 DNA wheel what size rotor would I need and could use with this caliper? I really like it would I run the 11.5?

That listing has ended because I bought it the other day. Waiting for it to get here to see what I need to repair/replace.

Why is everyone so hyped about the 6 pot YZF750 when the 4 pot blue dot R1 is rated better by racers?

Only good as the master cylinder supporting it.

That brings up a good point, Curt.

Hey Smokes, you run the stock master cylinder when you ran that YZF caliper? What about with your new one? Stock master or otherwise?

Bump... I just bought the blue dot R1 caliper was also curious if the stock master is sufficient as well as my 2000 roadstar front rotor

If you're running dual callipers then the 4 piston (blue, gold dot) work very well. If you want to use a single set-up then run the 6 piston setup.

If you're running a single 4 piston set-up on a 1600 then you need to replace the 1600 MC with a warrior MC.

Re:6 pot yzf750 caliper on ebay 3 Years, 11 Months ago
i run a 6 piston for the extra pad surface and extra two pistons clamping down on the rotor. now overall i lost 2 pistons and pad surface area on my 1700 roadie and "did" lose some stoping power, i sure didnt want to cut my stopping power in half by running a sigle 4 piston caliper. every little bit helps out the stoping power. 4 piston calipers are good but why do 400lbs and under superbikes run 6 piston dual calipers? cause they work better now im not saying that 4 piston calipers are crap im just saying a 6 piston is better and if you want to run single disk i want that single disk to run as good as it can. a dual disk will always be better than a single disk with factory rotors sizes but with a custom wheel i want to show the one side of the wheel without a disk in the way. i ran the stock 11.8" rotor with the yzf 6 pot caliper and it stops good in my opinion but looking for a bit better i stepped up to a 13" rotor and caliper setup to gain some more stoping power
