#1027802 GreenMachine (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 1304 Cool Motorcycle Culture Inspired Playing Cards 1 Month ago   I have a regular poker night going with some good buddies and have recently started collecting playing cards. I think that these moto-culture inspired cards are pretty cool! They are currently on Kickstarter. I pledged and really hope that they actually get made, so I thought I would share them here in case anyone else thinks that they are as cool as I do. The playing cards offered on Kickstarter are invariably printed in incredibly limited runs and are only available through the initial Kickstarter campaign, never to be printed again. If you miss out, you have to pay a premium for them on the secondary market. It’s a way of creating value for collectors while making decent money designing cards. At the time it was a passion but he wanted to see if he could make a living off it... Given the amount of time he put into them, everyone was telling him he'd never make it work... I'll see if I can find the video... [UPDATE] Wow! I still feel like you could design these and send them to Cafe Press or something like that and get them printed pretty cheap, but that is certainly a way for the artists to truly earn money from them.   Logged       The administrator has disabled public write access.
