Let me just say, when the sheriff dept drops the ball, technicalities screw you, judges rule in favor of the bad guy and evidence is suppressed to the point you have none, it's pretty fricken hard to prosecute anybody. The failure of the criminal justice system is evident.

One thing to add, if you get rear ended, and your wheel locks up like mine did, and you skid 150', 170', 180', or just 100', that mark on the pavement is from you accelerating after being hit, peeling out, on a roadstar, for that length, on dry pavement. That is one of the things I learned today.

I also learned you can skid to a stop while accelerating in such a manner. No shit.

What did your lawyer do about all of this? From day 1, you had a civil suit. I mentioned this to you a year ago. Told you to get an attorney. Did you? No you waited for the system. Without an attorney for the system to answer to, they drilled you. Sorry to say but they got you. You got what you put in, you got little out. DA elected official, judge elected official, without your own attorney what did you expect? Sad to see the outcome,

Soo, you did nothing and got nothing. So why is this such a surprise? Gram and the site made an effort, and you waited for the mail. You were given advice on many options you might choose. The fun ones are my favorit

Brother you definitely need to get a lawyer and file a civil suit. In a criminal trial the prosecution has to prove "beyond a reasonable doubt" in a civil trial you only have to prove "a preponderance of the evidence" HUGE difference! In a civil trial, all the evidence that was suppressed in the criminal trial can be used. Totally different rules. If nothing else you could receive a really good judgment. You may or may not see any actual money, BUT you could get the civil judge to slap an injunction or that S.O.B and if he ever does get anything such as money or property he will have to give it to you!. At least you could hang an albatross around his neck that will follow him for the rest of his life. HE will always know you didn't take his crap!

Again, just like the O.J. deal, they won the civil suit and got nothing but a piece of paper. The courts do not do anything to enforce payment. O.J. was not living in a shack after the judgment. There will not be albatross involved, this guy will just piss you off more if anything goes his way.

He could make a trip to your house to stand in front of you as you watch him hand over a winning lottery ticket to a friend, and there is nothing you can do about it. Once there is a judgment against you hiding stuff becomes second nature.

As ticked off as many of us have been by reading about this, I still think there could be others out there that would be "interested" in learning the details.

Seriously.

If you just want to spout about how to go about handling a criminal case that the sheriff department f@#ked up, and the states attorneys office had to try with that guy being a huge detriment, just wtf was your plan?

They suppressed evidence based on rulings legal arguments, court proceedings and judges rulings. With all of your superior legal knowledge why did you not come represent me in this case?

The state tried the case, not a private attorney. What state in these United States does a private attorney try a criminal case? What county, what state, what judicial district? I thought I've seen and heard plenty, but your shit here is right up the alley of those pos that had this case destroyed. Are you one of them, because you sure sound just like the shit came out of their mouths. I had ZERO to do with how things came about or how judges ruled in court proceedings, your assumption that a citizen somehow controls a judges courtroom are dead wrong and just plain stupid. I had absolutely no say in those rulings, no attorney would have had any say eiother, it was between the state of florida and the defense attorneys. I had been warned what could and would be admitted, what could be said, and anything said contrary would likely lead to a mistrial. I was admonished by the judge on more than one occasion for speaking, and not liking things as they went on in the circus

This has been a travesty from day one. That pos Banks got his turn at trying to kill me. The state got their chance to try him and failed, due to many errors and technicalities. None of those had anything to do with anything I said or did, get that through your skull. I'm not happy about any of this. It has changed my way of thinking about a lot of things. It has changed my demeanor, It has changed my interaction with friends and family.

Speaking your mind. Well said.

Unless one has been in your shoes the entire time, judgment should be kept at bay.
