I too had been off a bike for a good long while, but now I look like the guy up above most of the time. Welcome back to the world of wind in your face. Have fun!

Hey, Nice video. It gave me an idea of the sound also. Thanks for taking the time to do it. I will be doing this on my 2007 Silverado. My goal is to get the nice rumble of the V-twin without making it annoyingly loud. I want the people in the vacinity of my bike to KNOW its a V-Twin. If done right the V-twin sound is like music and is easily recognizable. Can you give me an idea of the volume/sound increase of before and after the drilling?
Thanks again.

Once again nice video. Man That Sounds Nice. I will start with Stage 1 & 2. Hang for a while and go to 3 if I want more volume.

Hey fatbike I need some advise. Bought a raider 1900cc with the 2-into-1-into 2 exhaust w/fi. I like the looks of the stock exhaust but it's too quiet. Will your method of exhaust drilling work on it? No one knows, and no one at the raider site has a clue. Thanks

I own a Raider. Am ready to do a stage one drilling. Here is a pic of the exhaust. It looks to me like there is no cone and this is just the first drilling plate. It is completely welded around the middle pipe. Am about to go pick up a drill bit and try a hole at 12:00 in the plate you see there to get a better look. I have never done this before so can't say I really know what I am talking about. Ive heard people have drilled their raiders already. Any ideas or answers to the cone question.

Well its done now. I put five holes in a half circle so far. Definitely kicked up the sound. A little raspy on the decel. not sure how to correct it or iif i should put the other 3 holes in it. definitely sounds better on idle.

I drilled my out with eight holes in each looks kinda cool like a revolver and it did get louder but not loud enough for me, and it has a little fluffing to it. Hopefully this week I'll try stage three but want to talk to a mechanic. I'm new at this to so I don't want to screw up the fuel injection (maybe after in gets hooked up to the Dayna-computer or whatever) and if agjusted right it might work. Worse case senerio I hit one of the the cards and buy an after market set of exhaust--I like the stock look first and then would be the Swept back pipes like the one's on the Raider concept bike by Jeff Palagiey (spelled wrong I'm sure) Let me know what happens. Stage three looks like all you need is a 3 1/2 hole saw and pull it out after snapping the weld---Yeah I should be so lucky, I'm what you would call some what mechanicly CHALLANGED! LOL

ye3a im alreayd thinking about doign stage 3. I can buy new pipes if it goes wrong. Its actually fun to drill holes in your brand new bike. LOL.It sounds a lil better now but Im with ya where it definitely isnt enough. So where our plate has been drilled we would take a hole saw close to the diameter of the end of the pipe correct? Here look at this video and tell me if I did stage one right. Everyone talks about cones but I didnt feel like I could take any cone off.

I'm no expert, but it would appear that the exhaust on the Raider in your video is slightly different than the roadstar. The roadstar exhaust has a tappered cone at the rear that you remove before you get the flat plate you drill the holes in .
