Re:Last one out shut the lights off. 1 Week ago
I found this site before I ever bought a Road Star. My first was bought site unseen from an auction and shipped here to Phoenix. It was the knowledge I found on the Clinic that gave me the confidence that I could do any and all work that this bike was going to need.
It was as much the people of this community as well as the wealth of knowledge that made me want a Road Star and now I own 2 So yes a huge thanks goes out to Gram for starting this place, but Doc has been here all along as well. In reflection I think of all the Moderators that were here when I joined, some had moved on but I believe most were still around and the original bunch. They all shared a common vision with Gram and helped mold and shape this forum into the Community it is today. So a huge THANKS goes out to all of them as well.

So it is with great fondness that I say "goodbye" to this place that has held my interest for the last 6 years. However I do believe that the Community that was long ago established here is going to live on in the same spirit that it has come to be, just in a new forum.

just my 1/2 pennies worth,
Rod

Looks like many of you are hesitant to make the transition over to the new forum. This forum is shutting down there's no denying the inevitable... c'mon kids push your tricycle across the street.

Yeah for real. This is like you just moved in to a new place and three weeks later, your neighbor dies.....you go to the funeral and tell all the old friends and family to get over it.... You can go to the new site and move on yourself. This spots been too good to most of us to just kick it aside easily.

I had never even heard of the R*, seen a good looking bike on the side of the road in my hood and had to stop as I was getting the bug again after not riding for a few years.Turn,s out I had been looking at a Midnight Star, checked out some forum,s and found this one in 2009 but didn,t officially join until 2011. Thanks to all those gone and still here that made this forum the best & the worst (some days )because of the bike we chose to own,and yes, I,m already registered at the new site
