Great vid Rick. Did the kit you sent me have the bumper shim? Have you considered the increase in the rear tire increase in diameter as it is spinning at 150 MPH? Still in bed with major sciatica pain. Steve

Now that looks like it would make getting on and off some what easier so I am interested however in Australia we ride upside down serious though looks good, is it something that can be made at home with a few simple tools, John. Just found the pics of the kit and realise I cant make it, still if I sell my caravan it might happen sooner

hey Aussie John. it won't make your driver's seat any lower, or the bike.. but it will place the rear fender down lower over the rear tire so you can impress the sheilas a little bit easier as you tool along down the road.

This is from a HD forum. I’ll try to FIND more. JD750ace should be able to answer my question. He’s the tire expert.

The air in the tire does heat up and expand. There will be an increase in dia. and width. But it is relative to the situation!
But basically the cold dimension of the tire is less then the hot. Air expands and it has to go somewhere. So unless you release the pressure it will change the dimensions. But the size increase from the manufactures specs. will vary depending on the starting pressure.

These days companies fill the tires with Nitrogen because it is less prone to expansion. Make for a more consistent tire, and ride.

So the amount of increase in size from expansion is dependent on many factors. Best you can get is a ball park idea of what that is, and that it does occur.
And really it's nothing that the "average joe" needs to be concerned with. If your tire clearance is that close?? Just making turns will make your tire rub. Because the tires leans and distorts as directional forces are applied.

I know hard bags and true duals yes but not sure if they were Dchopper bags.

Do you have recent pics of the bike you could post?

Good point if your clearance is that small your got bigger problems. Steve you're making my head hurt just thinking about all that.
