Miles don't matter much to me, got a good 4 day trip in with my brother, then did two awesome rides with my RSC brothers. Looking forward to more miles and smiles in 2017!!

About 7500 for me this year. I was also able to ride at least once in every month also. I snuck a quick ride in yesterday for about an hour. It was 42 degrees so it was pretty decent.

I average 2500 miles a year. I just hit 20000 I think. I did manage to put lots of miles on my work truck. Not a chance I can commute on whitie. I hope someday to log a few more. Our grandkids spend June through the start of school with us so I miss most of the summer riding. My favorite riding bud moved to Colorado and my other favorite riding bud blew up his HD and still hasn't got it fixed. I'm hoping for an extra day for the Eureka Springs Meet n Greet this year since I got cheated out of one day of last years Meet N Greet.

I always thought that when my kids were raised that I would have more time for riding. Funny, with the grandkids and everything else going on I find myself riding less every year. 2017 starting miles are 41,247.

your measuring MILES

when you should be measuring MOMENTS.

i dont put up the numbers either , but I ride it everyday to work, or when i need to make runs to the misc stores.....i never ride it more than a few hours at a time either.....

Re:Bike miles for the year? 1 Year, 1 Month ago
Well, I wish to sincerely apologize to all that I must have offended by trying to start a conversation by asking such a simple question as to how many miles you were lucky enough to get in over the last calendar year. Surprisingly, I DO realize that total miles are not a true measurement of how enjoyable or relaxing a ride can be. For me riding 2 hours a day in rush hour traffic just to get to and from work is not enjoyable so I rarely do it. A couple years ago an 8 hour ride from St Louis to Celina in a constant torrential downpour, where we had to keep pulling off because we could not see, was not all that physically enjoyable, but the fact it was made with a group of great friends makes me damn glad I did it. I only asked about odometer readings because the f’ng “moment” meter on my bike is currently broken, and I doubt everyone else knows how everyone else’s is calibrated, or I would have asked that . . .

First ride, March 5th--Last ride Nov 15th, missed 3 weeks with a shoulder problem or I would have put more miles on. I put more miles on this year than I have every done, 7592 riding in Minnesota and riding at Sturgis. I back the bike out of the garage, tell the wife I will return, get on and ride. I usually don't know where I will be going but try to put on between 150 and 200 miles, it clears my head.

Re:Bike miles for the year? 1 Year, 1 Month ago
I've been averaging about 3-3.5K/year driving to work and back from end of April to middle of November. Currently got ~19K on my 07 Roadstar. I've also got a 07 Vstar 1300 that I haven't put on any miles for a couple of years. I'm retiring at the end of April (I turn 60) and I'm wondering if I will ride more or less miles. I've got a ton of projects to keep me busy at home. I only had a couple of longer weekend rides last year, of 100-150 miles. Now that I'm getting older and have had issues with carpel tunnel, not sure if I'll be able to handle much longer rides. My hands start to go numb, it's very annoying. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

if your hands go numb while riding only, you need to change the height of your handlebars, either new bars or a set of risers, as you have a pinched nerve in your spine somewhere. it can be that easy
