This thread discusses the Content article: How to apply the Back Off MC brake light module
On 05 Harley Sportster, all wires run throuch center harness. The yellow wire is not on left side of battery under seat. Installation is presenting a challenge due to very short wires in the harness.
Was hoping for a more straight forward install. Oh Well.

I bought the Comangination brake light flasher.
It is the same concept...run in parallel with the +12 volt DC that goes to the brake lights.
But this one also has a green wire that goes to battery negative.
2 questions...I am assuming the yellow wire mentioned in this post is the one I need to splice? Anyone have a photo they can send so I can see exactly where the wire is?
For the green to ground...can I just run this to the negative post on the battery, or is there a better way?
Thanks,
jim

Here's an image of how I installed the brake light flasher.
Mine is a "VisiStop" model, but I'd expect most of the others would wire up in a similar fashion: Cut the yellow wire to the brake light, patch in the unit and ground the other wire.
I grounded my unit to the frame rather than try and figure out which one of the wires in the connector was the ground. Not a very pretty install, but the thing works!
Hope this helps.
