I made one when I first got my R* and it worked well. You can get both wheels off the ground easily by yourself.I now have a hydaulic lift but I keep the one I made in the corner as back up...Coug

I made this stand yesterday. Im letting the glue dry good before trying it. Very simple, but, i too worry about room for the oil pan to slide under. Oh weel we'll see. Thanks for the tip.

I just followed part of the directions and built the stand. Total cost $19.41.
Duirections were simple. One thing I didn't take into consideration was my crash bar and my ledrie bags. Stand still works great but I should have used 48" lumber instead of 30". My fault I should have measured... Thanks for the posting this. I will get much use out of it...

Re:Inexpensive Bike Stand 6 Years, 1 Month ago

Since I haven't been able to find a lift here in Thailand, I ran across this video on YouTube.

I've got at least 7" of clearance on the side away from the sidestand, so a large hydraulic jack will fit nicely underneath so as to get this 2x6 construction under the bike to stabilize it. Now I'll need to be certain to make it the proper width in order for it to be useful for oil changes, etc.
